Identical foliage of Chiba
March 15th, 2010

Two charred box shapes—one cardboard box of shampoo, the other some wooden object. From a burnt out love hotel in Chiba. Chiba is full of haikyo (‘ruins’), which makes it feel a little like a wasteland. A once thriving oasis from Tokyo turned into a sour monument to progress; driving to the coast you pass identical town’s with identical megamall’s and chain stores, all of them eager to be overgrown with identical foliage.
